Yesterday’s snow came with a lot of wind, resulting in four lanes of highway being unusable for the amount of snow piling up, a 35 minute drive taking 2.5 hours, and waking up to one foot of snow to gaze upon this morning. It came just as the Christmas snow was disappearing…
…and the birds are finding something to sing about!
And there was not enough time today (or wherewithal to tolerate the cold outside) to catch snowflakes, so they melted.
Today, we discovered the male hair sheep getting increasingly aggressive with one of the Boer goats (who aren’t exactly all sweet and pretty with the Nubian goat), ramming her into the wall of their barn. This explains why she just runs when he merely wanders her way, and why she backs away from the feeding trough when he comes in, and so it was time to separate all the bullies into their own little living spaces. So, the sheep is with the Nubians, and the Boers are now by themselves. Ah, life in Animal Kingdom.
